West Sussex is a great place to live and we intend to keep it that way! We strive to serve the people of West Sussex to the best of our abilities. The Labour government is not well disposed to us and this has resulted in our receiving the lowest grant settlement from government out of anywhere in the nation over the past seven years now. Despite this, however, through a major Conservative efficiency drive over the past 11 years we have found £80 million in savings. This has meant we have been able to keep council tax increases to their lowest levels since the tax was introduced and invest more in services such as highways and children's services.
